Information about cookies and device storage used by TeamFooty.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored by a website in your browser. TeamFooty also uses similar device-storage technologies, including local storage, service-worker caches and push-notification subscriptions.
2. Strictly necessary cookies
These are required for TeamFooty to operate securely and cannot normally be switched off through the website.
PHP session cookie
Keeps you logged in during the current session and stores temporary security information such as CSRF protection.
Persistent login cookie
Used when “Keep me signed in” is selected. It allows TeamFooty to restore your session on that device. The browser holds a secure token and the database stores only a hashed version of its secret component.
3. Consent preference cookie
TeamFooty stores a first-party consent preference cookie after you make a choice. This records whether analytics and marketing technologies are allowed so we do not ask you again on every page. It does not track your activity across other websites and is treated as necessary for remembering your privacy choice.
The consent choice is currently remembered for up to 180 days, after which TeamFooty may ask you to confirm your preferences again.
4. Functional storage
Installation preferences
Local storage may remember that an installation banner was dismissed or that the app has been installed, so the same prompt is not repeatedly shown.
Service-worker cache
The installed web app caches selected files such as styles, icons and an offline page to improve performance and provide limited offline support.
Push notifications
If you choose to enable notifications, your browser creates a push subscription containing an endpoint and encryption keys. This is not an advertising cookie. It is used to deliver TeamFooty updates to your device.
5. Stripe
Stripe may set its own cookies or use similar technology when you visit Stripe-hosted payment or account-onboarding pages. Those technologies are controlled by Stripe and are covered by Stripe’s own notices.
6. Analytics and marketing
Analytics technologies help us understand how TeamFooty is used, which features are useful and where the app can be improved. Marketing technologies help us measure promotions and make TeamFooty communications more relevant. These categories are optional and are only enabled when you give the appropriate permission in Cookie Settings.
7. Controlling cookies
You can delete cookies and site data through your browser settings. Removing TeamFooty’s necessary cookies may log you out, remove saved installation preferences or stop notifications until you enable them again.
You can disable push notifications through TeamFooty’s account settings or your phone/browser notification settings. You can also reopen TeamFooty Cookie Settings at any time to review optional analytics/marketing choices.
