1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of TeamFooty, including the website, installed web app, profiles, team-management tools, fixtures, team/social features, recruitment, notifications, support and payment features.

By creating an account or using TeamFooty, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, you should not use the service.

2. Accounts

• You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for keeping your login details secure.
• You must not allow another person to use your account.
• You must tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Players and organisers

A player may join one or more teams, respond to fixtures, use team chat and make payments made available through TeamFooty.

An organiser is responsible for the teams they own, including invite links, membership approvals, fixture details, pitch costs, cancellations, payment settings and communications sent to players.

An organiser account does not automatically gain management rights over another organiser’s team. Permissions are checked against the owner of each individual team.

4. Fixtures and attendance

Fixture information is provided by the organiser. Players are responsible for checking dates, times, response deadlines and any later changes.

Selecting “Coming” is an indication that you intend to attend. Organisers may use those responses when deciding whether a fixture can proceed and when calculating each player’s share of the pitch cost. Where a fixture is full, TeamFooty may offer a waiting list. If you give up a place, replacement and refund rules may apply and your place is not guaranteed once another player has taken it.

5. Payments

Payments are processed using Stripe. TeamFooty does not store full card details. The organiser is responsible for connecting the correct Stripe account and for ensuring that pitch costs and other amounts entered into TeamFooty are accurate.

Where shown, the amount payable may include the player’s pitch share, payment-processing recovery and a TeamFooty platform fee. Organisers may also record supported manual payments such as cash or bank transfer. A fixture with a £0.00 pitch cost may create a £0.00 paid record without requiring payment collection.

Refunds, cancellations and disputes relating to a particular football session should first be raised with the organiser. Any statutory rights you have are not affected by these terms.

6. Profiles, location and recruitment

You are responsible for keeping your own account/profile information accurate. TeamFooty may use postcode/location information to support maps, fixture location and player/team recruitment features. Organisers can report an apparently incorrect player location but do not gain general editing control over that player’s global account.

Recruitment adverts and team-discovery information must be accurate and used only for genuine football-group recruitment.

8. Team chat and social features

Team chat is intended for communication between members of the same football group. You must not post unlawful, threatening, discriminatory, abusive, sexually explicit or deliberately harmful content.

Do not share another person’s private information without permission. Organisers and site administrators may delete messages, clear chat history, remove members or restrict access where reasonably necessary.

8. Acceptable use

You must not:

• attempt to access another user’s account or another organiser’s private management area;
• interfere with the website, security controls, payment flow or notifications;
• upload malicious code or use automated tools to overload the service;
• use TeamFooty for fraud, harassment or any unlawful purpose;
• copy, resell or commercially exploit the service without permission.

9. Availability and changes

We aim to keep TeamFooty available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Features may be changed, suspended or withdrawn where required for maintenance, security, legal compliance or product development.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached, the service is being abused, payment activity appears fraudulent, or suspension is necessary to protect users or the platform.

You may stop using TeamFooty at any time. You may also contact us to ask for your account and personal data to be deleted, subject to any legal or financial record-keeping obligations.

11. Intellectual property

TeamFooty, its branding, design, software and original content belong to TeamFooty or its licensors. Team names, messages and other content added by users remain the responsibility of those users.

12. Liability

TeamFooty is a management and communication platform. We do not organise the football activity itself, inspect venues, supervise matches or accept responsibility for injuries, travel, weather, venue availability or disputes between team members.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, TeamFooty is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of opportunity, or losses caused by inaccurate information entered by an organiser or user.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts with jurisdiction under applicable consumer law may hear any dispute.

14. Support and contact

Members can contact TeamFooty through the private Support ticket area. Non-members can create a support ticket through the contact page and use the secure reply link sent to their email address. Legal/privacy enquiries can also be emailed to admin@teamfooty.co.uk.
