Getting started
Open Find a Team and use the team invite or joining options available to you. If you have been given a TeamFooty invite link or code, use it to join the correct team. Some teams may require the organiser to approve your request before you become a member.
Once your membership is active, that team can appear throughout your TeamFooty account. You can respond to fixtures, see team content and use the features your organiser has enabled.
Yes. TeamFooty supports multiple team memberships. Where a page contains a team selector, use it to switch between the teams you belong to.
Use the team/member options available for that team. Leaving a team removes your current membership but does not delete your TeamFooty account or historical match information.
Rejoining starts a new current membership period. TeamFooty keeps appropriate historical match/payment records, but old team chat and team notifications from before the new membership period are not automatically exposed as current team content.
Profile
Open your profile and use your profile editing tools. Your TeamFooty profile belongs to you; team organisers do not have general access to edit your personal account or global profile.
Your profile can contain your profile information and supported profile media/layout options. Your football activity and statistics can also appear in your profile where available.
Current-team statistics can be shown separately for each team, while appropriate career information can remain combined across your TeamFooty history.
Your location can support relevant TeamFooty features such as team discovery, recruitment and maps. If an organiser believes it is wrong they can report it for you to check, but they cannot directly edit your global account location. A reported/unverified location can be excluded from distance-based matching until corrected or confirmed.
Fixtures
Open the fixture and choose the attendance response offered for that match, such as coming or not coming. Respond before the organiser’s acceptance deadline whenever possible.
Your dashboard shows upcoming fixture information for your teams. If several teams have upcoming matches, TeamFooty can cycle through the relevant match cards for each team.
If the fixture has reached its player limit, TeamFooty can offer a waiting list instead of a normal place. Join the waiting list if you still want to play when a place becomes available.
Players waiting for a place remain outside the confirmed match capacity. If a place becomes available, the replacement/waiting-list process can be used to fill it.
If you can no longer play, Give Up My Place starts the replacement process. If another player successfully takes the place, TeamFooty updates the fixture and the outgoing player is removed from post-match participation for that fixture.
If your place has not yet been taken by a replacement, TeamFooty can allow you to recover the slot. Once somebody has replaced you, the place is no longer yours to recover.
Use Player Availability to mark yourself Injured or on Holiday and enter the relevant dates. Fixtures created within that unavailable period can automatically record you as Not Coming.
Use Player Availability or the availability card shown to you and choose the option to mark yourself available again.
Where the fixture calendar option is available, use Add to Calendar. TeamFooty can provide a phone-friendly calendar action or calendar file depending on the device.
Fixtures can have a cover image chosen by the organiser. It is there to make individual fixture pages easier to recognise and does not change your attendance or payment status.
Payments
For a paid fixture, TeamFooty creates the relevant payment when the fixture is processed. Use the payment option shown in TeamFooty when payment is due.
The pitch cost is shared using the fixture’s processed attendance/place rules. TeamFooty calculates the player amount and displays what you owe.
If the organiser sets the pitch cost to £0.00, no payment collection is needed. TeamFooty still keeps a £0.00 paid payment record for the fixture history.
Yes. Where the organiser accepts a manual payment, they can mark it as paid using the supported manual payment method rather than sending you through online checkout.
A team organiser can restrict an unpaid player from joining new fixtures for that team. TeamFooty shows a warning while the restriction is active. Paying the outstanding amount can automatically remove the restriction.
Where the replacement flow qualifies for a refund, TeamFooty can refund the outgoing paid player and transfer the match place to the replacement.
Team & social
Team Feed is the social/news area for your team. It can contain team posts and interactions such as replies and reactions.
Team Chat is the conversation area for members of a team. Personal Chat is separate and is used for direct conversations where available.
Team Events are for social activities outside the normal fixture flow. An event can include a type, date, time, location and notes, and members can respond to it.
Yes. TeamFooty can show the event attendee list so team members can see who has responded as coming.
Team Polls let the team vote on questions created for the group. Poll information can include who voted and the option selected where that poll is configured to show it.
Organisers can pin events and polls to the dashboard so important team items remain easy to find for a chosen period.
After the match
After an eligible match, TeamFooty can open player ratings. Use the post-match rating area when it becomes available and submit your ratings for the players shown.
Eligible players can take part in Player of the Match voting. The result is revealed after the configured reveal period rather than necessarily appearing immediately after the match.
Reveal access is tied to the relevant team/match membership rules. Joining a team later does not automatically give access to old reveals from before you were a member.
For confirmed fixtures, TeamFooty can show the generated teams/reveal associated with that match. On a multi-team dashboard, the reveal follows the currently displayed team/fixture.
The organiser can confirm who actually played and record no-shows. That final attendance is important for appearances, ratings and other post-match records.
Notifications
Depending on the event and your settings, TeamFooty can use in-app notifications and supported email/push notifications for important fixture, payment and team activity.
TeamFooty can suppress unnecessary chat notifications when you are already viewing the exact conversation.
Support
Open Support from the menu. Your personal support tickets are private between you and TeamFooty administrators unless you deliberately create a team-scoped ticket through an authorised team-management flow.
No. Simply being in a team does not give an organiser or assistant access to your private personal support tickets.
Getting started
Use the team creation area in TeamFooty and enter the requested team details. Once the team exists, you can manage its members, fixtures and team features from your organiser tools.
Use your team invite/join tools to share the team’s invite link or code. New users can use it during the joining process, and teams that require approval can review the request before admitting the player.
Yes. TeamFooty supports multiple teams. Organiser pages and selectors keep actions scoped to the team you are currently managing.
Open the relevant team/join-request management area and review the pending request. Approve only the player you want to add to that team.
TeamFooty includes team recruitment functionality. Use the recruitment tools for the relevant team to advertise for players and manage the resulting joining flow.
Assistants
An Assistant Organiser is a team member who can be given selected organiser permissions. They remain a normal player as well as having the specific management tools you grant them.
Open the assistant permissions for that team and enable only the permissions you want them to have. Their access should remain scoped to that team and those permissions.
Only if you grant the Manage Support Tickets permission, and only for tickets explicitly associated with the team. Their own personal Support area remains separate.
If the relevant payment permissions are granted, an assistant can use the permitted payment-management actions for that team. Refund access is controlled separately from ordinary payment viewing/management.
Fixtures
Open your fixture management area and choose Create Fixture. Enter the team, match date, acceptance deadline, kick-off time, venue information, pitch cost, minimum and maximum players, and any notes/options shown, then create the fixture.
Minimum players controls whether there are enough accepted players for the fixture to go ahead when it is processed. Maximum players controls the normal match capacity and when the waiting-list/full behaviour begins.
Enter the total pitch cost while creating/editing the fixture. TeamFooty includes quick values as well as a custom amount. Set it to £0.00 when the fixture is genuinely free.
Set the pitch cost to £0.00. The fixture still follows the normal acceptance deadline and processing rules, but accepted players receive £0.00 paid records and are not sent through payment collection.
Choose one of the quick duration options or enter a supported custom duration when creating the fixture.
Enter the venue details and postcode in the fixture form. TeamFooty uses the address/postcode information to locate the fixture rather than relying on the venue name alone.
Yes. A fixture can use one of the available pitch images or an uploaded cover image. After creation, use the fixture image editor from the organiser fixture area when you need to change it.
Use Edit Fixture. Editable fields depend on the stage of the fixture; important timing/details become locked once the match has progressed beyond the appropriate point.
Yes. Organiser fixture management includes manual processing where available. Automatic processing can also be handled by TeamFooty’s scheduled fixture processing.
TeamFooty processes the fixture using the accepted-player count and fixture rules. If the minimum is not met it can be cancelled; otherwise the fixture proceeds and the player cost/payment records are created.
When the match is full, additional interested players can join the waiting list. If a place becomes vacant, the replacement/fill flow can be used to bring a waiting player into the fixture.
Use the replacement tools on the relevant fixture. Select the outgoing player and replacement. TeamFooty updates the match place, participation records and the associated payment/refund state according to whether the outgoing player had paid.
TeamFooty attempts to handle the vacancy through the replacement/waiting-list flow. If nobody is available, the organiser can be notified that cover has not been found.
Use the Late Player / vacancy tools for the fixture. The supported flow lets you add the late attendee and choose the appropriate payment method/status rather than manually altering the underlying fixture records.
It is the organiser flow for filling a place that became available after a player was refunded/removed. It keeps the replacement and payment history tied to the correct fixture.
After the match, use Check Match Attendance. Confirm the players who played and mark genuine no-shows correctly. Guests are included in the physical attendance count where applicable.
TeamFooty protects teams with active fixture activity from being casually deleted. Deal with the active fixture first rather than removing the team underneath it.
Players
Use Player Availability for that team. An organiser, or an assistant with the relevant permission, can set the player as Injured or on Holiday with the appropriate date range.
New fixtures that fall inside the player’s active unavailable period can automatically mark that player as Not Coming. Once the availability period has ended, normal fixture responses resume.
No. A player’s account and global profile belong to the player and TeamFooty administration. Organisers manage the team relationship rather than taking control of the player’s personal account.
Use the profile reporting/support flow available to organisers rather than editing the player’s global profile yourself.
An account that has not logged in for 90 days can be automatically removed from its ordinary team memberships. The TeamFooty account and historical records are retained.
Not while they have a currently active Injury or Holiday availability period. Once that period has ended, they can become eligible for inactivity cleanup based on their account inactivity.
Restrict prevents an unpaid player from joining new matches for that team until the payment issue is resolved. TeamFooty shows the player a restriction warning.
The payment flow is designed to automatically unrestrict the player when the outstanding payment is successfully settled.
Payments
When a paid fixture is processed, TeamFooty calculates the pitch share from the fixture cost and relevant accepted/physical places. Amounts are rounded up to the next full penny where necessary.
Use Payment Manager for the relevant team/fixture. It shows payment status and the organiser actions available for unpaid, paid, manual and refundable payments.
Use Mark Paid and select the supported manual method, such as Cash or Bank Transfer. Manual payments do not pretend to be Stripe payments.
Where online payment is used, TeamFooty creates the online checkout/payment flow for the amount due and records the result against the correct player and fixture.
Use the Refund action where the fixture/payment is eligible. Refund permissions can also be granted separately to assistants. The refund should remain associated with the correct team payment account.
Normal organiser refund controls are intentionally limited after the fixture has happened. Site support can retain additional refund capability for genuine support cases.
These figures help distinguish the original amount still expected from the adjusted outstanding position after refunds have changed the fixture’s payment picture.
Yes. Organiser financial reporting can provide monthly/yearly spreadsheet exports for the team, subject to the user’s permissions.
Yes. Pitch invoices/receipts can be attached to the relevant fixture for organiser record-keeping. TeamFooty may remind you after creating a fixture, but attaching an invoice is optional.
Team & social
Open Team Feed for the team, create the post and submit it. Posting, deleting, replying and reacting are designed to update without unnecessarily throwing you onto another team’s feed.
Open Events, create an event and enter the type, date/time, location and notes. You can choose to pin it to the dashboard and members can respond to it.
Yes. Editing/cancelling can notify the team as appropriate, while deletion can be used when you want to remove the item without treating it as a cancellation announcement.
Open Team Polls and create the question/options for the team. Polls can also be pinned to the dashboard so members see them prominently.
Yes. TeamFooty supports multiple explicitly pinned events and polls rather than limiting the dashboard to a single item.
TeamFooty can show the event attendee list and poll respondent information so organisers and players can see the relevant responses.
After the match
Ratings become available according to the post-match timing rules. The dashboard can show a countdown until ratings open, followed by the Rate Your Last Match area when eligible.
The current TeamFooty reveal timing is 24 hours after the relevant match/reveal trigger. Eligible members can then see the result.
The outgoing replaced player is removed from POTM, ratings, reveal and played/appearance participation for that fixture. The actual replacement occupies the match place.
Dashboard
The dashboard supports multiple upcoming fixtures and keeps each fixture’s wheels, player view, team card and confirmed team/reveal associated with the correct team as you move through the carousel.
Events and polls can be explicitly pinned to the dashboard for the period you choose, making important social/team items easier for members to find.
Support
Use Support in the menu for your own ticket. If the issue is specifically a team-management matter, create it as a team ticket so authorised assistants can participate where appropriate.
Yes, but only when the assistant has the Manage Support Tickets permission and the ticket is explicitly scoped to that team. Personal tickets remain private.
